Multi Grain Pancake Mix

This is an older post I did several years ago and thought it would be a great one to bring back out this week with PANCAKES being the big subject for the week.  If you don’t want to make your large batch of mix we also sell our multi grain pancake mix in the gift shop on facebook as well!

I decided to make my own Multi Grain Pancake mix with my own amazing combination of grains.  Here it the recipe for making your own.

Ingredients:
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour

1/2 Cup Spelt Flour
1/4 Cup Coconut Flour
1 Cup Oat Flour
1/2 Cup Quinoa Flour
1 Cup Rye Flour
1/2 Cup Buckwheat Flour
1/2 Cup Flax Meal
1/2 Cup Almond Flour
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Baking Powder
2 teaspoons Salt

Put all ingredients into a large mixing bowl

Mix ingredients well in mixing bowl to combine all the grains together.  I also will divide the mix into two bags so and put one bag in the freezer until ready to use to keep the mix fresh.

Directions for using your Multi Grain Pancake mix

In a mixing bowl combine:

1 1/2 Cups of Multi Grain Mix
1 Cup Milk (I prefer buttermilk but you can also use almond milk or regular milk)
1 egg
1 Tablespoon melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

*After mixing well put about 1/4 cup of batter on hot griddle to make a pancake.  Serve hot with favorite syrup or sauce.  My favorite sauce in a “Brown Sugar Butter Cream Sauce” I make at the Bed and Breakfast.  Continue checking my posts for that recipe.
