Top 10 Reasons To Stay at a Bed & Breakfast – Continued

Now on to the other 5 reasons I think everyone should stay at a Bed and Breakfast instead of a Hotel.

6.  You can get the privacy and peace and quiet you desire.  A B&B tends to have few guests just for the simple reason they have few rooms.  They tend to be more popular for couples.  So if you are looking for the perfect place to spend a quiet vacation, a B&B is definitely for you.

7.  They’re more secure.  A B&B again because of less rooms has fewer people coming and going.  Also because this is the owners private investment not just a big chain the owners keep a much better eye on their property.

8.  They are located in out of the way areas.  B&Bs are often off the beaten path.  Not in the same area as a string of hotels.  This provides you with a great opportunity to see less traveled parts of an area or feel like you are more a part of a community not an out of town guests away from home.

9.  Historic Significance.  Many B&B’s are beautiful historic homes that have a special story of some historic story to it.  This gives you a story to enjoy and tell others about when you stay at a B&B and something unique to your stay!

10.  Reputations.  B&B’s rely on word of mouth not just a review to continue to grow their business. Therefore they work especially hard to make sure you are happy and have the best stay ever.

After this list of reasons everyone should want a bed and breakfast to
be their top pick of places to stay anytime they are away from home.

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever thought about the advantages of staying at a bed and breakfast over a hotel chain, but your article raises a lot of good points. I had especially never thought about how much more secure they are like you mention in tip number seven. It just makes sense that the individual who owns the property would spend more time keeping it secure rather since it is much smaller than a hotel chain.

  2. Thank you so much for reading my blog and giving me your feedback on my points. I hope you might be able to stay with us sometime and experience all that I shared about the advantage of staying at a bed and breakfast

  3. Because of the lack of rooms, it really can be quite a bit more quiet to stay at a bed and breakfast rather than a big hotel. That’s why my wife and I try to stay at bed and breakfasts whenever we can while traveling. It’s just so much easier to relax and enjoy your vacation. when you don’t have to worry about too much noise from the other guests.

  4. I like how you said that these kinds of hotel lodgings are off the beaten path and allow you to go down the path less traveled on. Considering how busy some tourist areas can be, it would be nice to be able to know that you are staying somewhere outside of the hustle and bustle. If you’re in a hotel, after all, you’re probably on vacation and vacations are all about relaxing!

  5. Kylie,

I counldn’t agree with you more! It is nice to find those little hidden gems that as you said, “are off the beaten path.”

  6. I like that you mentioned that a bed and breakfast is the perfect destination for a quiet couples retreat. My wife and I have been so busy with work lately that we haven’t been able to see much of each other. I think taking the time to relax and reconnect by going to a B&B would be great.

  7. I was more than happy to uncover this great site. I need to to thank you for your time due to this fantastic read!! I definitely enjoyed every bit of it and I have you bookmarked to see new information on your blog.

  8. I have to agree with what you’ve said about bed and breakfasts usually being more peaceful and quiet. After all, a lot of major hotel chains are just too close to the city and tend to pick up a lot of the noise because of that. At least with a bed and breakfast you’re more likely to be out in the suburbs or outskirts of the city.

  9. I’m glad you pointed out that bed and breakfasts are preferable if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation since they usually cater to couples and have fewer rooms. My husband and I have been talking about going on vacation in a couple months, so we’re currently brainstorming locations, activities, and places to stay. I love the idea of having a quiet, romantic getaway, so I think a B&B sounds like a great option for us!

  10. I am planning a trip for my husband’s birthday in a few months and I am thinking about going to a bed and breakfast together. I did not realize there are so many benefits of a bed and breakfast like the fact that they are peaceful and will give us the restful and quiet weekend that we are looking for. Also, it would be a great way to get to know the local culture of where we are staying and feel like we are part of a community with the other guests. My husband loves meeting new people, so a bed and breakfast could be a great option for us.
