The Freeman Room - $119/night (Nov. - Feb.) $139/night (Mar. - Oct.)
This beautiful Victorian room
of our bed and breakfast in Albuquerque, New Mexico pays tribute to Margaret Freeman, the owner of what is now Spy House from the 1940s until she passed away in 2001, in her 90s. She and her husband were the owners of the house when the Greenglasses came to rent one of the upstairs apartments. It was said that she always loved telling stories of the event that made this house famous.
The hand-painted diamonds on the walls are made to look like a replication of antique wallpaper. The rose border at the top of the picture rail was lovingly hand painted by Kara's mother and is made to match the roses in the bedspread. The bathroom has an antique claw-foot tub in it where you can have a soak or enjoy the shower. The 1800s washstand has been converted to have an actual working sink in it. You will feel as though you have stepped into true Victorian elegance in this room.
